The SCM is responsible for Supply Chain team management & operational and strategic activities for a portfolio of internal and third-party customers and internal/external suppliers in order to meet demand and supply.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for the overall management of the assigned portfolio and for the direct reports performance. In this role, the SCM will provide leadership and guidance to key stakeholders on the team and in wider business functions (e.g. RA, Procurement, Finance, QA). The SCM will assist the Senior Supply Chain Manager in the day-to-day operations and projects impacting the department.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • The direct people management of the supply chain team to deliver GEM objectives. In addition, the SCM is responsible for the delivery of compliant and timely delivery of products measured by “Supply in full and on time” (SIFOT).

  • Interfaces with internal and third-party Distributors as well as internal/external Suppliers to resolve day-to-day supply chain and logistics issues. Includes issues related to product supply, forecast adjustments/variations, supplier performance and customer service.

  • Manage the relationship with Suppliers to ensure continuity of supply and issue resolution.

  • Monitors and improves Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for assigned portfolio of Customers / Suppliers.

  • Manage the Supply Chain through a firm understanding of the customer/supplier contracts. Maintain compliance with the contract requirements as identified through notifications and resolve in the timelines defined.

  • Lead and prepare regular cross-functional demand and supply review meetings with internal and external partners. Meeting minutes and action logs must be documented, agreed and filed. Communicate supply chain/logistics issues and delays promptly. Must facilitate resolution as needed.

  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external contacts in manufacturing, packaging suppliers, Supply Chain, Regulatory Affairs, QA, Finance.

  • Contributes to ensuring the maintenance of a robust and efficient Supply Chain data archiving system.

  • Engage in the Technical Transfer process for products in your portfolio as a team member, ensuring that you influence the TT to complete as per the timelines and per contractual requirements. Escalates at appropriate time to ensure compliance to timelines and contract.

  • Drive Change Control for the assigned portfolio to support new launches.

  • Participate and drive Continuous Improvement in supply chain by identifying issues and conducting root cause analysis to improve the supply chain effectiveness and efficiency.

  • Comply with internal SOPs, contractual obligations, appropriate legislation and company policies including, but not limited to SOX.

  • Execute the ERP-based purchase and sales order processes (both internal and external customers) from receiving incoming orders, placing purchase orders, through confirming and tracking shipments to delivery and payment required.

  • Performs other duties and responsibilities, as may be assigned.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • 5 years Direct Team/People management experience essential.

  • Bachelor's degree required and APICS certified an advantage.

  • Minimum 5-10 years supply chain experience.

  • Strategic thinking and ability to prioritize.

  • Understanding of supply chain management in a complex manufacturing environment.

  • Knowledge of manufacturing, packaging and labeling of pharmaceutical product in a cGMP environment.

  • Strong relationship management, communication and influencing skills. Comfortable with dealing with individuals from different functional areas and at all levels within an organization and ability to influence Supplier performance.

  • Demonstrated experience participating in cross-functional teams.

  • Experience with change control within the pharmaceutical industry.

  • Effective analytical and project management skills with demonstrated success in problem solving. Ability to interpret the data, understand the impact, and prioritize based on the impact.

  • Lean thinking and process thinking.

  • Ability to write SOPs and interact with Quality/Regulatory department.

  • Experience working with SAP system .
