Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Controller in the located North of Boston. Our client is expanding their business and eager to hire someone to join their successful team. The role involves managing accounting functions, overseeing auditing processes, and ensuring efficient use of Accounting Software Systems and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.

• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget, financial forecasts, and report variances.

• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.

• Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.

• Research technical accounting issues for compliance.

• Support month-end and year-end close process.

• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.

• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

• Additional duties as necessary related to the Controller function within the organization.

• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

Requirements • Proven experience in a Controller role for a minimum of 7 years

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Demonstrable experience in Accounting Functions

• Practical knowledge of Auditing processes

• Expertise in Budget Processes

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

• Excellent leadership and management skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
