As a Senior Consultant specializing in corporate transaction banking, you will play a crucial role in advising our clients on payments, virtual accounts, and liquidity management solutions. Leveraging your expertise in these areas, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies that meet our clients' business objectives and drive value.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and providing strategic guidance on transaction banking solutions.

Solution Design: Lead the design and development of payments, virtual account, and liquidity management solutions tailored to meet client requirements, considering industry best practices and regulatory considerations.

Project Management: Manage end-to-end project delivery, including scoping, planning, execution, and stakeholder management, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Product Expertise: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes in the corporate transaction banking space, and translate insights into actionable recommendations for clients.

Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with transaction banking initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and adherence to internal policies and procedures.

Team Leadership: Mentor junior team members, providing guidance and support to foster their professional development and enhance overall team performance.

Thought Leadership: Contribute to the development of thought leadership content, including white papers, articles, and presentations, showcasing our expertise in transaction banking and enhancing our market reputation.

Primary Skill Sets

Good Knowledge and understanding of Payments, Virtual Account management and Liquidity management. Experience in working with such systems across geographies, particularly JAPAC.

Knowledge of Virtual Account Management (VAM):

  • Understanding of virtual account structures and their applications in banking.

  • Ability to design and configure virtual account solutions to meet business requirements.

  • Experience in setting up and managing virtual accounts to optimize cash flows and streamline reconciliation processes.

  • Familiarity with the technology platforms and software used for virtual account management.

  • Knowledge of virtual account reconciliation processes and tools.

Knowledge of Liquidity Management (LM):

  • Proficiency in liquidity forecasting techniques and cash flow analysis.

  • Understanding of liquidity management principles and techniques.

  • Ability to develop and implement liquidity management strategies to ensure sufficient cash availability for operational needs while maximizing returns on excess cash.

Others:

  • 12 to 15 years of experience in corporate transaction banking, with a focus on payments, virtual accounts, and liquidity management.

  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects in the financial services industry, preferably within a consulting environment.

  • In-depth understanding of transaction banking products, processes, and technologies, including familiarity with core banking systems and payment platforms.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into practical solutions.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients and internal stakeholders at all levels.

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including the ability to lead project teams, mentor junior colleagues, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.

  • Professional certifications would be an asset.
