Omnicell, Inc. Field Service Engineer in United Kingdom
Position: Field Service Engineer
Location: Carlisle
Key Responsibilities:
Engineering team technical service
Working with existing team of field service engineers, demonstrate a competence in engineering disciplines
Provide planned routine maintenance and corrective jobs on Omnicell products.
Manage effective car stock control and timely completion of all service administration tasks
Provide customer training and instruction as required. Act as a key point of contact to all customers in your customer ‘patch’
Carry out all duties in a professional and courteous manner whilst promoting the company at all times.
Minimum Requirements:
Skills:
Ability to communicate in plain English
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Working in a team or independently
Attention to detail.
Flexibility to support changing customer needs and priorities.
Experience:
Proven track record with minimum of two years in customer support or customer service within a technology industry
Should have service experience (workshop or field) working and engaging directly with customers and end-users
Ability to quickly and methodically troubleshoot problems
Computer literate with ability to use relevant software packages, such as Microsoft Word & Excel
Understanding of Healthcare/Pharmaceutical industry is desirable
Aptitude:
Must show an aptitude for fault-finding
Willing to travel as required to support customers. This could be at short notice and must be considered as part of the job. On occasions there may be a need to stay away from home in hotel accommodation as needed
Must be a good communicator with internal FS and Omnicell team and customers.
Must have a clean driving licence (or <6 points)
Working Conditions:
Home Based hybrid working, will need to live within easy commuting distance of motorway networks
Must be willing to travel throughout the UK to support FS related work
The role will involve carrying out scheduled maintenance and dealing with ad hoc support calls, either remotely or on-site. This will include replacing parts, fault finding, performing quality and safety checks, and counting car stock.
