Why this job matters:

This role sits within the Commercial Core Trading team – this team has end to end accountability to plan and trade the core products (Broadband, Mobile, TV and Sport).

The Regional, Household and Convergence team sits within this team to lead transformational change and drive trading outcomes across the following areas:

• Drive growth of converged households by driving a step change in cross sell to the Mobile and Broadband base.

• Move from a product focus to a household growth focus, by generating more value from our existing customers by leveraging all the products we offer

• Drive a localised approach to sales by creating more personal activity and experiences to o grow our customer base

Key areas of responsibility for this role:

• Deliver converged households growth

• Drive household value growth through cross sell, increased mobile RGUs and household value

We’ll do this through:

• Building plans to deliver these key transformational shifts across the business and underpin our P&L outcomes

• Partnering with the Commercial Strategy team to bring trading insight and thinking as the strategy is written and updated

• Incubating change that needs test and trial to bring the strategy to life

• Driving transformation activities across commercial and marketing to deliver these key shifts

• Tracking trading performance across these key priorities

• Using insight to recommend and deliver improvements to our performance

• Ensuring senior management are updated on our progress and where we need help or decisions

What you’ll be doing:

• Develop execution plans to deliver the growth in convergence in the MTP

• Identify ways to improve convergence outcomes and drive across cross functional teams in commercial and marketing

• Co-ordinate Tests / Pilots with cross-functional teams & adjust / optimise the strategy

• Measure and monitor convergence KPIs progress and outcomes

• Support strategic reviews & optimisation, up to board level

Leadership responsibilities:

• Highly collaborative and drives that culture across the working team

• Able to delegate and lean on experts to get to the right outcomes

• Great at problem solving – you can break it down and focus on the important stuff

• Make complex things simple through clear insights and story telling

• Resilience in dealing with complex problems, able to fail fast, pick yourself up and go again

• Great at making things happen – you draw the right people in, make sure everyone is aligned and quickly flag and unblock problems as they arise

Skills and experience you'll have under your belt:

Must have:

  1. Commercial skills, confidence with excel and complex data sets, ability to build business cases to drive revenue and ebit outcomes

  2. Experience converting goals into specific objectives and actionable tasks

  3. Effective collaborator and communicator - with different departments, levels of organisation, offices, areas of expertise and culture - to achieve a common goal

  4. Experience with foreseeing and managing operational risks

  5. Experience executing strategic plans across cross functional teams

  6. Ability to consistently adapt to changing requirements / set back (with resilience)

Would be good to have:

  1. Experience within Telco environment

  2. Experience in driving household and convergence growth
