Description

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced litigation attorney to join our team in The Woodlands, Texas. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in handling files from start to trial, drafting legal documents, assisting with case management, preparing for court hearings, trials, and depositions, and actively collaborating with senior attorneys on case strategy and client communication.

Responsibilities:

• Handle files from initiation to trial, while negotiating with insurance company defense lawyers and adjusters

• Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, and briefs

• Assist with case management and organization to ensure efficient handling of cases

• Prepare for and attend court hearings, trials, and depositions

• Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and client communication

• Negotiate settlements and participate in alternative dispute resolution processes

• Review and analyze legal documents, contracts, and agreements

• Utilize case management software, legal software, and legal research databases such as LexisNexis for efficient case handling and research

• Handle litigation matters related to personal injury plaintiffs and civil litigation

• Manage complaint handling and claim administration

• Provide detailed documentation and briefing on case progress and developments.

Requirements

• Possession of a valid license to practice law in Texas.

• A minimum of three years of experience as an attorney or lawyer, preferably in a corporate setting.

• Extensive knowledge and experience in civil litigation and handling personal injury plaintiffs.

• Proficient in using legal software such as Case Management Software, LexisNexis, and 3M.

• Demonstrated ability in complaint handling, claim administration, and documentation.

• Strong experience in briefing and plaintiff litigation.

• Familiarity with management systems is essential.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex legal information clearly and concisely.

• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.

• High level of professionalism and ethical standards.

• Willingness to stay updated with the latest legal trends and regulations.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
