Abbott Senior Account Executive in Singapore, Singapore

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

  • Manage accounts in designated territories, maintaining a long-term relationship with KOLs and accounts to maximize sales opportunities

  • Accounts include hospitals, primary care, and retail channels

  • Maintain deep, current knowledge about diabetes management, especially diabetes monitoring devices and digital tools, the evolving healthcare landscape, and emerging digital trends to support selling and educating a broad and deep network of HCPs about Abbott products

  • Contribute to the long-term growth of Abbott Diabetes Care (ADC) products in territory by increasing awareness among Health Care Professionals and customers on the important role of monitoring in improving quality of life, and the superiority of ADC products to competitor brands and products.

  • Gain new business and grow existing business through a multichannel, customer engagement strategy that builds HCP confidence in and loyalty to Abbott products.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with HCPs throughout customer accounts at different levels of responsibility and influence using existing relationships with HCPs and others to expand customer network

  • Use data and insights from digital and other omnichannel activities to refine HCP profiles and choose engagement activities that will fit the needs, preferences and goals of each individual HCP

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support patient education regarding diabetes monitoring and Abbott brands, influence customer and patient choice of monitoring devices, and deliver a consistent, end-to-end customer engagement experience

  • Measure progress against customer and account objectives and take action to meet targets

MAIN / MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement the strategic initiatives for key accounts to achieve ADC Singapore Plan Net sales and Division margin

  • Ensure that execution plans are in line with the business and marketing objectives to achieve the division’s goals

  • Gain access to HCPs through multiple engagement channels (digital, remote/virtual, face to face)

  • Research market trends, analyze sales, strengthen customer understanding and ensure profitable sales growth of key accounts

  • Preparing and presenting regular reports to internal and external stakeholders

  • Build rapport & work closely with KOLs to drive brand awareness, preference and advocacy

  • Actively participate in business development initiatives and seek out strategic partnerships for ADC

  • Execute field activities such as road shows, product training and symposiums to create product awareness among health professionals and public

  • Seek new business opportunities, collaborations or accounts to grow ADC business and market share

  • Proactively monitor, gather & report feedback on market trends and competitors’ activities

  • Facilitate and coordinate instrument demos, evaluation, placement, complaint handlings and training for customers whenever the needs arise

  • Provide accurate sales forecast to ensure consistent supply of products to customers

  • Ensure that all business activities are conducted in accordance with Abbott Code of Ethics and local government laws

  • Work closely with Area Office to ensure local Regulatory and Quality requirements are fulfilled in a timely manner

/SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES IF APPLICABLE

  • Nil

MINIMUM BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • 5 to 8 years of proven sales experience in Medical devices or pharmaceutical industry

  • Strong ability to develop KOL network as well as manage Key hospital and primary care accounts; retail and ecommerce experience will be an added advantage

  • Knowledge & experience in diabetes category will be advantageous

  • Familiar with standard software packages such as word processing, spreadsheet application and Power Point

  • Speak and write fluent English

  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Analytical, energetic & strive in a highly result-oriented environment

  • Team player with strong communication, facilitation & interpersonal skills

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED

  • Bachelors Degree / Diploma

ACCOUNTABILITY / SCOPE / BUDGET IF APPLICABLE

  • Achieve yearly sales in assigned channels and contribution margin vs Plan

  • Execute business plans by working closely with Head of Sales to achieve the yearly assigned business objectives
