Position Summary

Energizer Holdings is seeking an experienced project manager for the in-house Creative Operations team. The successful candidate will collaborate directly with cross functional teams to facilitate and coordinate several aspects of marketing initiatives such as new and existing packaging production and collateral solutions.

We are looking for someone who is organized, a strong communicator, capable of supporting cross functional teams to deliver projects on time and complete. This person should also be capable of working within a marketing-led organization as priorities will be driven by brand marketing strategy.

This person’s key role will be to support the Global Marketing and Creative teams by leading the day-to-day administration, coordination, tracking and support of all strategic projects within the in-house Creative Operations team. Project scope will vary widely from large, long-lead, cross-functional product launches to fast, tight-turn requests.

Responsibilities will include working directly with designers assigning projects, defining go-to-market timelines, maintaining project management tools, resource management, organizing project meetings to ensure prompt delivery and managing between-meeting follow ups so project deliverables are met. This colleague will also be responsible for process improvement to continuously improve efficiencies as well as cost savings without sacrificing quality.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee workflows to ensure efficiency and high-quality deliverables.

  • Manages the administration of packaging production development and collateral.

  • Manages, monitors, and reports team capacity, volume and deadlines on all projects, scope changes.

  • With the Associate Manager, review and approve client requests, project briefs, and timing for all team assignments.

  • Assess bandwidth of designers and provide regular oversight of creative resource allocation.

  • With broad input, define and document best practices for project tools, templates, and workflows.

  • Field, evaluate, and quickly respond to requests by defining project resource requirements and negotiating assignments with functional managers.

  • Develop detailed project plans to track progress and oversee projects of all sizes and budgets from concept to completion.

  • Ensure project feasibility and manage changes in project scope, and schedule.

  • Communicate with stakeholders at all levels to work with Associate Manager to lead kickoff meetings, project reviews, and ongoing project updates.

  • Ability to manage all aspects of creative production from project inception to completion.

  • Serve as primary point of contact for business units managing all project requests and communication.

  • Work with all levels of internal business partners to answer project questions and manage expectations including communicating process changes or activities that could impact deliverables.

  • Navigate internal organizational structure to successfully meet business needs and project completion.

  • Serve as liaison between internal business partners, internal creative agency, as well as external agencies.

  • Drive timely completion of projects by trafficking through the workflow process.

  • Identify risks and develop contingency plans to meet original commitment.

What we are looking for

  • 3-5 years’ experience ideally in team and project management, agency, print production, or product development.

  • Degree or equivalent required with an emphasis on Project Management.

  • Solid track record of working in a product management and/or category role in consumer goods.

  • Experience teaming cross-functionally and working effectively in a matrix organization.

  • Strong understanding of packaging and print workflow processes, scheduling, and trafficking.

  • Strong customer service skills with a proven ability to deal directly with a variety of clients and needs.

  • Proficient in Workfront, or similar project management software.

  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel.

  • Possess an expert knowledge of traditional creative production deliverables, capabilities, and processes.

  • Experience with integrated creative workflows.

  • Creative or technical agency experience desired.

  • Effective negotiation and conflict management skills.

  • Product development experience in packaging would be valuable.
