Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Principal/ Sr Principal Project Manager to support the Strategic Deterrent Systems Division and lead affordability initiatives for the Sentinel Program. This position is located in Roy, UT . This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

What You'll Get To Do:

  • Lead Affordability (TCAMP) initiatives from creation to completion throughout their lifecycle and track status, deadlines, progress, and metrics toward the initiatives.

  • Horizontally and vertically integrate with individuals and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to help facilitate and mature Affordability initiatives and proposal submittals, including any potential Intercompany Work Orders (IWOs).

  • Act as a liaison to ensure high quality submittals and adherence to relative program toolsets and processes.

  • Support in representing items with all levels of management including Program Leadership and Customer Reviews.

  • Review and present status of projects and budgets; manage schedules and prepare status reports.

  • Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.

  • Develop mechanisms for managing and monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, IPTs, and functional management.

  • Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.

  • Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.

  • Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.

  • Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

  • Other duties as assigned.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Principal Project Manager: Bachelor's Degree in Program Management, Project Management, Business Management, Estimating, or Industrial Engineering with 6 years of experience; 4 year with Masters; 4 additional years may be considered in lieu of degree.

  • Sr Principal Project Manager: Bachelor's Degree in Program Management, Project Management, Business Management, Estimating, or Industrial Engineering with 10 years of experience; 8 year with Masters; 4 additional years may be considered in lieu of degree.

  • Must be a US Citizen with an active secret clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years.

  • Must have the ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP).

  • Experience supporting DOD Programs.

  • Experience presenting to upper-level management.

  • Proficient on MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing Affordability Initiatives.

  • Experience writing proposals.

  • Experience developing Basis of Estimates (BOE).

  • Experience managing, allocating, and tracking budgets.

  • Experience public speaking to large audiences.

Salary Range: $76,600 - $115,000

Salary Range 2: $95,000 - $142,400

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
