Description

Our dynamic client within the real estate industry is looking to staff a Senior Project Accounting with proven AIA billing expertise. As the Senior Project you will oversee the financial management of the organization’s projects including: overseeing project budgets, monitoring expenditures, providing financial analysis, review project contracts, processing client invoices, reviewing/processing project adjustments, preparing project costs, and handling subcontracts and subcontractor change orders. This Senior Project Accountant must have strong knowledge of construction related accounting software, solid communication skills, experience with lump sum project accounting, and excellent time management abilities.

How you will make an impact

· Create and monitor project accounts

· Analyze cost reporting

· Verify project budgets

· Provide profit analysis reports to management

· Compile monthly project reconciliations

· Review budget adjustments

· Assist with month/quarter-end process

· Reconcile subcontractor change orders

· Maintain documentation for compliance

· Project Analysis

· Ad hoc projects as requested

Requirements

The ideal Senior Project Accountant will preferably have a Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration.

Other requirements for the Senior Project Accountant role include and are not limited to:

· 3+ years of project accounting experience

· Public accounting is a HUGE PLUS

· Yardi experience is a HUGE PLUS

· Excellent communication skills
