As Clinical Operations Director, You will provide operational leadership to effectively manage the activities of Clinical Operations, and supervise our team in a manner that ensures all delivery targets are met with highest quality, whilst balancing productivity, resourcing, revenue and margins. Includes operationalising concepts of alternative monitoring models.

The main responsibilities :

  • Create a culture of process improvement with a focus on streamlining our processes, adding value to our business and meeting client needs.

  • Operational Excellence and Quality Responsible for oversight of overall functional quality, operational and financial delivery in line with departmental objectives, at the regional or country level.

  • Ensure that staff assignments are adequate to meet corporate utilization and productivity targets at country/regional level.

  • Ensure all Clinical Resources within assigned line are meeting or exceeding performance objectives for productivity and quality

  • Ensure agreed corrective and preventative actions are implemented, and/or further training is received, as required.

  • Proactively inform Senior Director and/or VP Clinical Operations of critical issues and corresponding corrective and preventative action plans

  • Support the development of clinical functional and people manager trainings; hold trainings within clinical function as well as across other departments and functions, to enforce the current and changing paradigm of monitoring.

  • Drive overall compliance with internal processes and requirements at team, country or regional level as applicable

  • Provide the experience and ability to manage client programs at the functional level, as applicable, by serving as the clinical subject matter expert.

  • Act as key contact for the country for operational questions and escalations, both internally and externally.

  • Support departmental strategy. Talent, Leadership, Development & Culture

  • Develop key relationships with the wider business locally at country level, and through the global function; this includes, but is not limited to, global project management, clinical trial management, start-up, central and risk-based quality management, and decentralised trial functions.

  • Be able to offer regional/client-based knowledge to achieve success. Build / foster / maintain client relationships with local client subsidiaries.

  • Drive change within team, country or region as applicable. Understand the drivers of change and communicate effectively. Be a champion for change and innovation
