CAE USA INC Hardware Technician in Montreal (St. Laurent), Canada

Role and Responsibilities

Responsibilities :

  • Debug and troubleshoot hardware and software problems originating in both the flight training devices and facility.

  • Respond to customers' training-related needs in a courteous and timely manner to ensure that flight training equipment is consistently reliable and available.

  • Perform logistical/administrative duties as required.

  • Shift work and field work required. (up to 6 months)

    Requirements :

  • Technical diploma or degree in programming, software, IT, aviation or electronics or equivalent relevant experience.

  • Thorough understanding of computer/simulator architecture, particularly relationships between system components.

  • Ability to manipulate software to debug, troubleshoot, update and compile code for use in a flight simulator application.

  • Basic troubleshooting skills and knowledge of how to use electronic testing equipment.

  • Ability to learn and apply skills in the flight simulator environment in order to maintain and operate all required equipment.

  • Strong customer focus and excellent customer service skills.

  • Strong communication skills, particularly for technical information.

  • Able to work alone or as part of a dynamic technical team.

  • Experience in flight simulator or aviation environment an asset.

  • Knowledge of simulator systems, international regulations for flight training devices and the aviation/aerospace business an asset.
