Essilor of America Project manager - Montreal - temporary 12 to 15 months in Montreal, Canada

Under the supervision of the Manager – Project & Business Improvement, the Project Manager is actively involved in improving Essilor Canada's business processes. He is responsible for coordinating and implementing projects and programs. He works with other departments to implement actions to identify opportunities for improvement, support and structure for implementation of changes and ensures effective management of deadlines through his expertise in project management.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as a project manager for various mandates involving several spheres of the company (Operations, Customer Experience, Marketing, Quality, Infrastructure, etc.);

  • Conduct a needs analysis, coordinate the implementation of actions and carry out follow-ups after implantation;

  • Elaborate and follow-up on the project timeline, budget, quality management plan, human resources, communication plan and the risk management plan;

  • Establish and publish the project portfolio KPIs dashboard;

  • Development of tools and methodology for best management practices;

  • Manage ongoing business process improvement projects to support the implementation of best management practices and increase operational efficiency;

  • Participate in business process improvement to maximize performance in terms of productivity, efficiency, process simplification, quality and cost reduction, thereby improving overall performance;

  • Conduct data collection and analysis to identify and quantify opportunities for improvement or cost reduction;

  • In projects, participate in the continuous improvement of productivity levels, reduction of reject rates, production lead times, process simplification and annual production costs;

  • Promote project management and continuous improvement tools to other departments;

  • Provide support and structure to other departments as part of their project management and continuous improvement activities;

  • Ensure that Essilor's Health, Safety and Environment policies are strengthened and are an integral part of the process improvement process.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • University degree (Bachelor's degree) in Engineering or other relevant field;

  • Training and / or certification in PMP project management (an asset);

  • 3-5 years of professional experience in project management and / or continuous improvement with tangible and proven success;

  • Experience in optics ( an asset);

  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies; (development and monitoring of baseline content, schedule, budget, resources, communication, procurement, risk and quality management);

  • Strong knowledge of methodologies and the use of continuous improvement tools (Lean, Six Sigma, problem solving);

  • Sense of organization and rigor;

  • Ability to work in a changing and changing environment;

  • Strong ability to analyze and solve technical and organizational problems;

  • Strong analytical and results-oriented skills;

  • Strong ability for writing texts and using computer tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, MS project);

  • Team spirit and leadership;

  • Ability to communicate and group facilitation;

  • Bilingual French / English, spoken and written;

  • Maybe called to move on different shifts;

  • Available for occasional travel in Canada.
