The Bureau of Health Care Safety and Quality (BHCSQ), part of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) is seeking a dynamic Director. As theBureau Director of Health Care Safety and Quality, you will lead the charge in ensuring the highest standards of health care oversight for Massachusetts residents. Join us in shaping the future of health care in the Commonwealth, where your leadership will make a tangible difference in the lives of millions. /_Duties and Responsibilities (these duties are a general summary and not all inclusive)_//:/ * Direct and oversee the Bureau of Health Care Safety and Quality programs and services with efficiency and effectiveness. * Lead interdisciplinary program planning, development, integration, and policy setting processes. * Establish standards for program evaluation, performance management, quality improvement, and surveillance. * Collaborate with stakeholders to establish priority program objectives and annual plans. * Implement management controls and coordinate program tracking efforts for optimal outcomes. * Supervise the Division of Health Care Facility Licensure and Certification to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. * Oversee the Office of Emergency Medical Services to promote a statewide community-based EMS system. * Supervise the Policy and Regulatory Affairs team in developing and implementing healthcare policies and regulations. * and the Division of Quality Improvement to drive performance and accountability initiatives. * Facilitate communication and collaboration with the Commissioner's Office and EOHHS on critical issues and initiatives. * Provide strategic advice to the Commissioner on program priorities, policies, and legislative matters. /__/ /_Preferred Qualifications_//:/ * Proficiency in state and federal health care safety and quality policies and programs * Understanding of the health and human service delivery system and regulatory frameworks.
