Robert Half Sr. Accountant in Madison, Indiana

Description We are inviting applications for the position of Sr. Accountant based in Madison, Indiana. The primary role of this position involves managing various accounting tasks such as reconciling company tax obligations, preparing financial statements, and ensuring SOX compliance in all finance duties. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be a part of our team, where you will be responsible for multiple financial aspects.

Responsibilities:

• Manage non-payroll related company tax obligations including reconciling, filing, and managing.

• Handle sales/COGS reconciliation and other various reconciliations and accrual accounting.

• Oversee CIP tracking, fixed assets, and depreciation.

• Prepare financial statements and contribution margin reporting.

• Conduct financial analysis.

• Manage patent and trademark records and accounting.

• Play a key role in audit preparation, tax preparation, and 1099 reporting.

• Register and notify insurance of vehicle purchases.

• Calculate and report standard and actual manufacturing cost.

• Calculate and report standard cost variance.

• Monitor cycle count accuracy and reporting.

• Ensure SOX compliance in all finance duties.

• Act as a backup for other general accountant positions.

• Utilize skills in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close, NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Sr. Accountant role or similar capacity

• Mastery in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations

• Proficiency in maintaining General Ledger and preparing Journal Entries

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience in Month End Close procedures

• Prior use and understanding of NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organization skills

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Knowledge of current financial regulations and accounting standards

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
