Robert Half Sr. Financial Analyst in Los Angeles, California

Description

Robert Half Management Resources is recruiting for a strong Sr. Financial Analyst to support our premiere university medical client on a hybrid/mostly remote engagement beginning immediately. Primary Duties and Responsibilities will include:

  • Manage gifts, contracts and grants, state and compensation plan funds under the direction of the CFO

  • Monitor budget variances and provide financial and procedural reporting and analyses of department funds and fiscal activities.

  • Support the CFO in developing long range goals, action plans and budgets.

In order to be successful in this role, you should possess the following attributes:

  • Ability to recognize implications, propose alternatives, and recommendations and implement solutions, analyze information to determine programmatic needs.

  • Skill in negotiating and exchanging ideas and information to formulate policies and procedures.

  • Skill in prioritizing assignments to complete work in a timely manner when there are changes in workload, changes in assignments, and a heavy workload.

  • Demonstrated writing skills to compose logical, comprehensive, and grammatically correct correspondence, and reports.

  • Skill in using Excel/spreadsheet programs, database programs and computer operating systems.

  • Knowledge of principles of accounting and financial management. Demonstrated skill in financial analysis, planning, preparation and administration of a multi-million-dollar budget with multiple funding sources.

  • Ability to establish, implement, monitor, and evaluate computerized financial planning, reporting, and management systems.

  • Skill in budget preparation and management, preparation of financial reports.

    Requirements

  • Experience with University financial transactions

  • Knowledge of Medical Center organizational structure, clinical, research, and administrative departments.

  • Knowledge of University and federal contract and grant fiscal policies and procedures including proposal preparation requirements.

  • Knowledge of federal, state, and industry funding agencies and their policies and procedures regarding contracts, grants and subawards.
