Your team: The Times and Sunday Times are two of the most respected and trusted news publications in the world. Our mission is to deliver quality journalism and information to our readers, while fostering a deep understanding of the world around us.

Your role: We have a fantastic opportunity for a Conversion Manager to join our fast-paced, high-impact Customer Marketing team to support News UK’s objectives to grow digital subscriptions and revenue for The Times and Sunday Times.

A pivotal role within the Acquisition team, your role will focus on creating a seamless and persuasive online experience that will improve subscription conversion rates in the UK and internationally. Blending creativity, data analysis and user psychology, you will identify opportunities for A/B and multivariate testing, whilst working closely with product, analytics and brand teams as well as our 3rd party optimisation agency.

Day to day you will:

  • Develop and own the testing program to improve onsite subscription conversion

  • Work with our external experimentation agency to run A/B and multivariate tests onsite to gather insights and assess how multiple elements interact and impact conversions

  • Quickly interpret results, draw unique insights and clear recommendations for future CRO experiments

  • Partner with the Product team to lead the development of enhanced onsite journeys based on successful experiments

  • Continuously analyse the various stages of the subscription conversion funnel to identify opportunities to improve engagement and conversion

  • Work with the Analytics team to improve data reporting

  • Collaborate with other teams such as Performance Marketing, CRM and Brand to ensure consistency across all channels

  • Manage and activate onsite sales, briefing stakeholders on the sale calendar and offer strategy

  • Report on the results of all sale campaigns, providing insights and recommendations to the wider marketing team and stakeholders

  • Manage all landing pages, using a marketing CMS, to support subscription campaign activity across the team

What we’re looking for from you:

  • Previous experience of conversion optimisation and A/B testing

  • Strong analytical background

  • In-depth understanding of customer behaviour and conversion funnel strategies

  • Experience operating a marketing CMS

  • Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM tools

  • Proficient using Google Analytics
