Our client is adding a Staff Accountant to their team. Position Overview:

As a Staff Accountant you will play a vital role in managing our financial activities and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, analyzing financial data, and providing strategic insights to support informed decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions.

• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.

• Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to support strategic planning and decision-making.

• Conduct variance analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and enhance efficiency.

• Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulations.

• Assist with audits and tax filings as required.

• Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support as needed.

Requirements

• Strong analytical capabilities and discernment

• 1+ year accounting experience preferred

• Competent with spreadsheets and databases

• Be detailed, flexible, and organized

• BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
