This important science, technology, and innovation center will support a range of technology and drug development activities that will help us usher in the next wave of innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support for SAP systems, including system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.

  • Take ownership of assigned work activities and progress to conclusion promptly and efficiently.

  • Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of SAP systems, including ABAP & Java systems, SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW, SAP Business Suites, and SAP Solution Manager.

  • Perform system refreshes, system copies.

  • Perform system upgrades, patches, and installations in accordance with best practices and company guidelines.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth integration of SAP systems with other applications and technologies.

  • Monitor system performance and proactively identify and resolve issues to ensure optimal system availability and performance.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of system backup and recovery strategies.

  • Document system configurations, processes, and procedures to ensure knowledge transfer and compliance with company standards.

  • Stay up to date with the latest SAP technologies and trends and make recommendations for system improvements and optimizations.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent professional experience.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in SAP Basis Administration.

  • Knowledge in all aspects of SAP Basis administration, as well as understanding of database, operating systems, hardware, integration, and networking in various SAP technologies and cloud platforms.

  • Good understanding of various SAP technologies: S/4HANA, BW, GTS, ATTP, PPM, SLT, Solution Manager, Fiori, GRC, ABAP, Java, SAP BTP, SaaS, AWS, Cloud integration components.

  • Good understanding of various databases: SAP HANA, SAP ASE, PostgreSQL and Oracle.

  • Good understanding of operating systems, such as Linux and Windows server.

  • Experience in full life cycle implementation of multiple SAP systems, installations, upgrades, and patches.

  • Familiarity with SAP system monitoring and troubleshooting tools.

  • Knowledge of SAP security concepts and best practices.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Good documentation skills and practices.

  • Ability to work effectively in a global team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the organization, build strong partnerships to meet shared objectives.

  • Self-accountable and able to manage own time to meet deadlines.

  • Action Oriented: Take on new opportunities with a sense of urgency and enthusiasm.

  • Intellectually curious and willing to evaluate and quickly learn new technologies.

  • High level of energy and enthusiasm with the ability to thrive in a rapidly changing environment.

  • Experience implementing SAP solutions for pharmaceutical industry, in FDA and GxP regulated environment is a plus.

  • Strong oral and written presentation skills.

  • Demonstrates openness to learning new skills and helping others to raise their “technology quotient”.
