Job Description:

The Office of the University Registrar is seeking a detail-oriented individual to join the Records and Degrees team as a Coordinator I. This role involves delivering exceptional service to students and stakeholders while maintaining meticulous attention to detail in handling records. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, and a keen attention to detail in all aspects of their work.

Responsibilities include:

Student Records Management and Support

  • Utilize the student information system to manage online academic records, course changes, and credential certifications.

  • Verify accuracy of data entry for grade changes, study abroad programs, and other academic transactions.

  • Support end-of-term processes, including grade postings, degree certifications, and transcript release.

  • Respond to student, faculty, and public inquiries regarding academic records and university policies.

  • Articulate registrar and university policies in accordance with federal, state, and institutional guidelines.

Discrepancy Resolution, Compliance, and Verification

  • Identify and resolve discrepancies between electronic and hardcopy records.

  • Assist in the application and clearance of holds on academic records, ensuring compliance with university and regulatory requirements.

  • Facilitate degree and transcript verification processes, collaborating with external agencies as necessary.

Other duties

  • Cross-train to assist with various office functions during peak periods, including registration, and room scheduling.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to streamline procedures, improve record-keeping methods, and update office manuals.

  • Support research initiatives by supplying data and information for reports, projects, and correspondence.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

    This position is located at the University of Florida's main campus in Gainesville, FL and may be eligible for a flexible, hybrid work arrangement in accordance with the University of Florida and Division of Enrollment Management's policies.

Expected Salary:

$40,000 annually

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to interpret and articulate university and Registrar policies, procedures, and academic regulations.

  • Ability to establish work priorities and coordinate the timely completion of work assignments.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently, exercise good judgement, and work with minimal supervision.

  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency and a working knowledge of user automated-systems.
