The Facilities Manager oversees all facets of facilities operations and maintenance of all five Inotiv sites within the Fort Collins area. This critical role has responsibility and accountability for performing all preventative, on-demand and improvement maintenance activities including but not limited to: electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), building, employee equipment relocations, etc. Additionally, the position is responsible for ensuring validation, cleaning, and inspection of all laboratory equipment.

Responsibilities

Facility Management & Procurement Implements service agreements, purchase requisitions, vendor management and tracking of goods and services received. Responsible for activities pertaining to design, qualification, and maintenance of utilities, equipment, systems, grounds, and other facility asset Creates and implements facilities and maintenance strategies. Plans budgets, provides cost estimates, and schedules facility modifications. Oversees work performed by mechanics and contractors, including HVAC operations, janitorial services, facility grounds, etc. Manages construction and installation progress. Repairs and troubleshoots any facility repairs/breakdowns to minimize facility downtime or impact to study activities. Coordinates third party service repairs as needed. Monitors and ensures environment maintains proper temperature and humidity range per United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) regulations. Identifies and supports continuous improvement efforts. Performs or coordinates facility enclosure updates or changes. Manages Access Control and security systems. Serves as primary contact for all facility alarm notifications on a 24/7 basis. Equipment Management Oversees the validation, cleaning, inspection, maintenance, calibration, and/or standardization for all laboratory/facility equipment. Ensures equipment assessments are performed for all equipment. Ensures equipment owners are properly scheduling and documenting all equipment related events (e.g. non-routine maintenance, preventative maintenance, calibrations etc.). Prepares documentation and performs equipment validation procedures. Ensures Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) Equipment Matrix and Service Schedule are kept current and matrix is archived as required. Supports equipment owners in scheduling service and maintaining proper documentation to ensure compliance. Supervision Directly supervises one or more employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Escalates personnel issues to HR as appropriate. Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) Coordination Provides internal oversight for the environmental health and safety program. Ensures staff remains in compliance with applicable regulations and training is documented. Coordinates updates for all EH&S policies and plans. Other Follows all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other applicable laboratory or company policies and procedures. Maintains confidential information. Supports and participates in company initiatives as directed. Performs periodic review of all applicable SOPs to ensure accuracy and confirm procedures are being performed according to SOParticipates in SOP writing, reviews, and revisions, as needed. Completes training requirements as assigned and maintains appropriate training documentation. Maintains compliance and adheres to all safety regulations, policies, and procedures and good documentation practices. Maintains a thorou h knowledge and ensures compliance with GLP, USDA, Association of Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care (AAALAC), Office of Laboratory Animal Welfare (OLAW), and other applicable regulations. Performs other duties as assigned.
