Job Title: Maintenance Lead

Location: Detroit MI (ONSITE)

Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Lead to direct our maintenance department's skilled trades employees. The selected candidate will play a key role in coordinating safety, quality, delivery, cost, and morale initiatives. They will drive improvements in throughput, coordinate professional maintenance, and lead breakdown maintenance activities. Additionally, they will provide coaching and mentoring to team members on World Class Manufacturing techniques for problem-solving and corrective action implementation.

Responsibilities:

Possess a general level of technical understanding related to maintenance, time-based maintenance (TBM), condition-based maintenance (CBM), and dynamic maintenance (DM).

Influence key performance indicators (KPIs), mean time between failure (MTBF) of components and equipment, mean time to repair (MTTR), and maintain equipment at basic conditions while continuously improving equipment.

Address throughput, run-to-run, and downtime-related issues with equipment in a production environment.

Direct supervision of skilled trades staff.

Drive waste reduction efforts through the implementation of World Class Manufacturing (WCM) methods/processes such as Autonomous Maintenance (AM), Professional Maintenance (PM), Quality Maintenance (QM), Focus Improvement, and People Development (PD).

Actively participate and lead kaizen project activities focused on Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) improvements and waste reduction opportunities identified through cost deployment.
