We currently have a Senior Accountant career opportunity at our Dallas, Texas location.

POSITION PURPOSE :
Assist finance shared services in performing accounting functions, business support and financial analysis as necessary.
Conduct full cycle accounting for (including, but not limited to, A/R, Capital, Inventory, month end close and management reporting).
Perform month end close
Maintains and balances accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions; resolving discrepancies.
Create variance analysis compared to forecast, budget, and history to identify threats and opportunities
Work with Business Analysts to provide detail support and analysis for GL activity
Interface with Auditors providing variance explanations and support for accruals and revenue.
Complete intercompany transactions
Administration of Account Reconciliation Tool
Reporting to Management
Review approved Purchase agreements for required accounting implications
Calculate and record put option, earn-out and supplemental purchase price liabilities
Identify and record intangible assets, amortization, and investments
Perform and/or coordinate re-valuation / impairment of contingent liabilities / intangible assets
Coordination with tax team to identify and assist in valuation of deferred taxes
Perform duties inherent in all professional positions. Consistent with all positions in this classification, additional projects, tasks and/or duties beyond what is outlined here may be assigned as required. This includes but is not limited to the following:
Complete analysis, review and reconciliation of Balance Sheet
Research accounting issues
Assist with Financial integrations of subsidiaries into Oracle
Documentation of policy and procedures
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
BA or BS degree in Accounting required
CPA, MS in Accounting, MBA or other equivalent certification preferred.
2-6 years of professional experience in public accounting, or equivalent. Big 4 experience a plus.
Sound analytical depth and strong technical skills in finance and/or accounting.
Demonstrated experience in managing/interpreting complex data using various databases
Experience in an integrated systems environment desired. Oracle applications experience a plus.
Focus on accuracy and follow through
Ability to work with all levels of management
Ability and desire to work across business units within and outside of Finance
Strong PC skills required, with experience:
Excel advanced skills including pivot tables, vlookups and hlookups
Word intermediate skills including mail merges
Access a plus
Strong oral and written communications skills.
