Hilton Sales Manager in Christchurch, New Zealand

The iconic Chateau on the Park – a DoubleTree by Hilton is looking for a Sales Manager who loves the thrill of chasing and securing new business opportunities whilst maintaining strong relationships with existing clients.

The candidate will have a proven record of sales, market intelligence, solid relationship building, and commercial acumen. They will appreciate the impact of both local and global travel and understands the reason we are here - to delight our guests and clients.

What will I be doing:

  • Research and seek out new business opportunities
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients and provide solutions in order to convert the business
  • Actively promote the hotel facilities by entertaining clients and agents as necessary
  • Conduct site inspections of the hotel with potential clients
  • Conduct regular Sales updates to clients
  • Attend Trade shows around New Zealand if required – ability to travel essential
  • Ensure all reports are produced as requested by Management
  • Collate market intelligence and research potential opportunities
  • Have an understanding and knowledge of our competitors - SWAT
  • Develop and maintain a broad range of product knowledge about the Hotel
  • Update and maintain accurate account profiles in the database e.g. Delphi
  • Attend and contribute to team strategy meetings to maximise revenue opportunities

It would be an advantage for the successful candidate to have:

  • Two years in a similar role, preferably within a hotel chain environment
