University of Virginia Assistant Professor of Psychology, AGF in Charlottesville, Virginia

The Department of Psychology at the University of Virginia invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Psychology, general faculty, beginning August 2024. We are particularly interested in applicants with expertise in Clinical Psychology or Research Methods in Psychological Science. This is a one-year, tenure-ineligible appointment without possibility of renewal.

Responsibilities will include teaching three courses per semester, including introductory courses in Abnormal Psychology, Research and Statical Methods, or Research Ethics. The Department is also interested in applicants that can teach laboratory or experiential learning classes.

A PhD in Psychology or related field is required for this position. Applicants must hold a terminal degree at the time of appointment.

We prefer applicants with teaching experience in Abnormal Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Research Methods, Statistics for Psychology and Social Sciences and/or Research Ethics. We are also interested in applicants that have experience or capabilities to offer lab-based or other experiential learning experiences in smaller group seminars.
