KBR Senior Technical Advisor, Aeronautical Engineering; Systems/Airworthiness Engineer in Beavercreek Township, Ohio

Senior Technical Advisor, Aeronautical Engineering; Systems/Airworthiness Engineer

KBR is seeking a highly motivated Systems/Airworthiness Engineer to support an Air Force Life Cycle Management Center Aircraft Acquisition program at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. Candidate will provide engineering, technical, and managerial direction for problem definition, analysis, requirement development and implementation for complex systems in the engineering discipline required to meet technical requirements. Makes recommendations and advises on system development, improvements, optimization, or support efforts. Performs risk assessments and analysis employing modeling and simulation techniques.

Specific responsibilities may include:

  • Provide senior level expertise on Department of Defense (DoD), Air Force (AF) and Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) systems engineering processes

  • Provide senior level expertise on DoD), AF and AFLCMC airworthiness certification processes, identifying, reviewing and delivering airworthiness artifacts required to obtain flight authorizations and airworthiness certifications.

  • Develop and deliver airworthiness certification training, documentation and courseware materials

  • Validate program systems’ airworthiness in accordance with MIL-HDBK-516C

  • Assist in the development of AFLCMC flight authorization standardized processes

  • Verify and assess aircraft operations and systems

  • Develop and implement systems engineering processes across AFLCMC aircraft acquisition programs and provide advance technical knowledge to develop, qualify, certify, verity and sustain pilot-centric hardware and software

  • Deliver Senior-level review of technical reports, studies, analyses and system/sub-system design documentation

Required Qualification: Master’s Degree and at least 15 years of experience in the field or in a related area; DAWIA SPRDE-SE Level 3

Security Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI

Preferred Qualification: T&E Level III, Expert Systems Engineering Professional (ESEP)
