Job Title: Technical Author & Administrator

Location: Aberdeen- Hybrid Working 2 days per week in the office

We are recruiting for a Technical Author & Administrator to join our Marine Department in Aberdeen.

About the Role

We are growing our Marine and Offshore team and looking for a Technical Author & Administrator.

The role will involve reviewing technical reports and ensure the highest standards of deliverables in terms of contents, format and syntaxis/grammar are maintained.

The successful candidate will have expert skills using Microsoft Office packages and thrives on juggling priorities, have dynamic and professional communication skills.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Formatting, proofreading, and processing technical reports / proposals / ITT documents in accordance with company standards, ensuring consistency in quality and format

  • Assisting with the necessary documentation required for staff and subcontractors attending vessels worldwide (e.g. assisting with travel and documentation/certificates)

  • Creating and publishing templates in accordance with BVS corporate styles

  • Monitoring document control mailbox and deal with correspondence as efficiently as possible

  • Maintaining a record of all documents processed and issued and spreadsheets are up to date

  • Accountability for timesheets is submitted by staff and associate consultants and approved by the deadline

  • Able to work under tight deadlines and focused on exceptional Customer service

  • Previous experience in a document control department preferrable
